REF MICROSOFT WORKS SUITE 2000

I purchased a Gateway Computer 3/2000

It had Micro Soft Woorks 2000 already installed by Gateway
Recently I had to have the computer Re-formatted it asking
for the key number off the CD case. I don't have that
number, I have the Product ID number and bar code.

Micro soft is telling I should contact Gateway, Gateway
saying I should contact Micro soft?

Gateway should have given you a Works CD. Somewhere on or near the CD case
there will be a Certificate of Authenticity. The CD code will be on that.
