Reference / Endnotes - How?

Hi,

Is there anyway to cross reference to a list of bibliography / reference
near the end of the document (or in another document)? I am thinking to
create the bibliography as a (normal) numbered list. Or, should I be using
some other feature? I have posted to ask about how to pack few docs into
one. So, if I could make it, the bibliography will be in a different file.
Otherwise, it will be a Chapter in the document.
