Anyone who knows about errors in referenced xls-files when upgrading version?
I have a customer who have made 100+ workbooks (all linked together in there
network), in Excel 2K. Everything was working just fine.
When upgrading to Excel 2003 they get the error "REFERENCE" in some cells.
If they open the linked workbooks everything is fine again, but thats not
doable everytime because a single workbook can have references to 10-15 other
workbooks, each one passwordprotected.
There's no macros anywhere, just simple calculations.
Of course it's possible to save a workspace as a workaround, but that's just
a workaround and dont solve the problem.
Any help, hints, links please
