reference other cell in criteria

Here's my criteria range:
MO Year
<=6 Last

I really want MO to refer to another cell, called
Print_mo, so that I can enter the month in that cell only,
and have my criteria range change accordingly. I want the
cell under "MO" to read <= Print_mo, but it doesn't work.
How can I accomplish this? Thanks.
