References for app shared by Access 97 and 2002

Chris Guld

I have a database with the backend in A97. Users have
both 97 and 2002 front ends. It was developed in 97 - then
upgraded. The 2002 users are getting errors that look
like reference problems to me. I made sure the 2002 app
has the same references as the 97. That fixed a lot of
problems, but a few remain. The references (in 2002)are:
1.Visual Basic for Applications
2.Microsoft Access 10.0 Object Library
3.Microsoft DAO 3.51 Object Library
Just wondering if you see any red flags here? Should I
use DAO 3.6?

Thanx

What kind of errors?

I'd definitely use DAO 3.6.

I also suspect you're missing OLE Automation.

I also suspect you're missing OLE Automation.I never found that reference to be necessary, and even though I use Automation
(to Word).

Interesting. I wonder what it does then.
