Referencing data in a variable field

I need to pull in data to my Excel spreadsheet from another Excel report. The problem is that this report is produced elsewhere and the cell references for the data I need change when additional items are inserted into the report. Is it possible to attach a label/name to the data and use this as a reference instead of a celll reference
