I am making a class record file for each of my computer classes. On one sheet I will enter there personal information. On another worksheet I want to set it up with their picture and their name. I would like to be able to use the enter name on the first worksheet to automatically fill the name box on the second worksheet. What do I need to do so I don't type everything twice or possibly more times?

I'm not really clear on what you're looking for - what's the "name
box"? A cell? The Name Box in the Formula Bar?

If it's a cell, a simple answer would be that you can use a cell
reference. In sheet2:

=Sheet1!A1

will display whatever is entered in cell A1 of Sheet 1.

If you have something else in mind, post more detail in a reply.

Thanks very much. I see I was unclear when I said Name as that was the information from the cell I wanted to reference. Your information is exactly what I needed to know. I am new to Excel and didn't use this function in Clarisworks/Appleworks so I couldn't find the info. I tried your suggestion and it works as needed. Thanks

Tom
