Refrence to Excel library

I need to refrence the Excel library 9.0 for a program. I originaly wrote
the program directly into the "this project" page and it worked. Later I
decided to make it global so I created a module in the global section and
coppied it in.

When I tried to run it it gave an error. I checked the library and Excel
5.0 was refrenced instead of 9.0. 9.0 was not listed but I was able to
browse to it and then add it. It still did not work. I checked my refrences
again and somehow 5.0 was again selected instead of 9.0. 9.0 was no longer
even listed.

I have added 9.0 a couple of times and each time it acts like it added it
but then when I reopen the refrences 5.0 is again selected.

Any sugestions?

Thanks,

When I browse to 9.0 with 5.0 selected and click "OK", 9.0 does not show up
as an option to select. If I unselect 5.0 than and browse to 9.0 and click
"OK" it shows up in this list of refrences but 5.0 is gone. I then select
9.0 and click "OK".

When I reopen the refrence list 9.0 is no longer listed and 5.0 is both
listed and selected.

Wierd.
I don't have older versions of OS and Office to check this out or I'd give
it a try myself.
Have you tried it using a fresh version of global.mpt on a new file (rename
the current version and project will recreate a new global.mpt for you). I
think I vaguely remember something like this happening during the transition
between proj2000 and 2002.
