Refresh All button greyed out on Ribbon

Hi,

Can anyone tell me the reason(s) why the Refresh All button gets greyed out
on the Ribbon? I am using linked tables (linking to a MySQL db) and on some
forms it is there, on others it is not and I'm not spotting why.
