Refresh Meta tag disappearing after save

I have a word 200 word document which contains a Refresh
tag in the Head section. This word document is resaved as
html with same name. If a change is made to word document
such as a color change and then resaved to html. I am
losing the refresh meta tag in document. What am I doing
wrong?

Just my opinion, but if you are doing anything wrong, it is trying to edit
web pages using Word. Can you use a "real" HTML editor? Word is notorious
for rewriting all your code for you....! MS wants to make it "web-able" but
it's really awful.
