I'm working with a Report that is linked to a complex Query, which for some
reason takes an extremely long time to build. Anyway, the Report seems to
refresh each time I change one of the controls, like lengthening or
shortening a textbox. Is there some way to speed up the process of creating
the Report, or is there some way to only update the Report after all the
formatting is done? In Excel, there is a way to turn off Calculation >
Automatic. Is there a similar feature in Access Reports? I can't, for the
life of me, figure out why this Report is so slow... I've never seen
anything like this before. The processor is 1.2Ghz, and I've got 1GB of RAM.
I'm running Access 2003 now (it was significantly slower in Access 2007).
Any help would be appreciated.
