Refresh Web Page (once per visit)

Is there some code to add to my web page so that web page is refreshed the
*first time* web page is visited, so that visitor gets the most current
information? I have code to refresh every so many seconds, but I only want
to refresh once per visit. Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated.
