Refreshing form

I am using IP 2003 tied to a database

I have a new form that collects 2 data elements and upon submit, the 2
fields go to the database. That works well.

Because the form will get used throughout the day, rather than close the
from, I just set the 2 values to blank after the database submission and
leave the form open.

However, when the user submits a new request, the data is not going to the
database table. No error message - just the data never gets submitted.

Am I missing something simple as a way to keep the form open but clear the
fields and accept a second submission?

Hello,

How are you creating the new record? Are you using the New Record button
that is created when you link your form's Main DOM to the DB?

No - I am just using a data connection to the database using a Submit button
rule.
