refreshing

While working in Word, it is very difficult with the refresh. There is almost
always the hourglass and it refreshes every couple of seconds. Don't know if
this is problem or setting issue.

Please let me know how to correct this very annoying problem.

One of the most common causes is having Speech Recognition enabled. Check
that it is OFF (in Windows); it may be necessary to uninstall it if you
don't use it at all.
