Hi ,

I downloaded it onto the Project Server machine, installed the PDS

extensions and can successfully log on to get a list of project names (using

the Administrator, password combination)

However when I try to change the project name I get the message...

An unexpected error has occurred on the Server. Please contact your system

Administrator

Please help!

Best Regards
Chaitanya.

Hi

Thank you very much for your support. Once we registered the dll on the
server, rename project tool is working fine.

Now, we have the "ps cleaner" tool keeping the same problem. It is
regressing the following message

"You could not be logged into Project Server at this time. Please make sure
that specified Project Server is up and running. Also ensure that a Project
Server user exists with these credentials and that the Administrator is
allowing this user to log in. Done"

I checked for dll files of ps cleaner. But, I was unable to find one.

Please help me on this.

Best Regards
Chaitanya.

I have always used the PWA Admin utility "Clean up Project Server Database"
for this type of activity.

I just installed this utility on my servers and it works fine.
There are no files to be registered for this utility.

I suggest you verify the login details:

1. URL (this should be the same URL you leverage when setting up your
Project Pro connection account)
ex. http://servername/projectserver

2. If using a project server account instead of a domain account be sure to
uncheck the Windows Authentication? checkbox. If you are using a domain
account the ensure that you prefix the domain.
ex. ad\username

Good Luck!

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

I have installed ps cleaner on the project server machine. But, it didn't
work. I checked the URL and it is the same as that is in project pro
connection account

Is PWA Admin utility is a different tool to clean up project server
database??????

We are using project server authentication to access project server as an
administrator

If PWA Admin utility is a different tool, could you please give me the URL.
So that I could download and install the same.

Please get back to me if you have any queries.

Best Regards
Chaitanya.

Can you go to PWA, logout, then login w/ your admin account to ensure that
you are providing the right credentials. (process of elimination)

Yes, this is actually the utility that comes packaged with the system.
Within your Admin tab on the left pane you should have this feature
available. If not check your security permissions to ensure that you have not
denied this permission.

For example our URL to this feature would be:
http://pmo/projectserver/Admin/DBCleanup.asp?_oid=-1
