Microsoft doesn't send out update notifications to user email addresses.
The Autoupdate application will check with the MS servers to see if
there are updates available.

When you register, the only thing that providing your email address does
is allow you to sign up for an electronic newsletter. You can sign up
for the newsletter with your new address at MacTopia.com

Thanks..... that's what I thought but was not sure. I will sign up for
the newsletter since mail to my old address will not be forwarded
