Registration Woes?

Not yet, as far as we know.

They are giving it a very low priority, focusing their efforts on getting
the bugs in the product fixed first :)

Ahem... The Registration Glitch is owned by Marketing, and everyone hates
Marketing :)

Cheers

Does anyone know if the Registration Glitch has been fixed?

The registration problem has been fixed, however if anyone is still having any issues registering we'd appreciate hearing about it.

Catch 23

Registration online requires filling a box called ID, which instructs me to open program and select "About" from "Help". Help in Word and Exel does not contain About, which makes ID inaccessible. It appears on startup signature, which disappears before I can capture the lengthy number.

For Messenger, registration requires following 3 steps that include verifying the receipt of an e-mail never received. M7 e-mail address is correctly entered on the form, but no e-mail arrives, blocking me at that early stage in the registration process. Without registration, Messenger cannot be used.

Hi Estelle,

No clue about Messenger--however, registration is not necessary to
activate Office on the Mac, it is wholly optional and only lets you sign
up for a newsletter. So you can ignore it entirely--except maybe not for
messenger. Try posting a separate question to deal with Messenger, as
that's a different issue.

But, what Registration Online *should* say is select About from the
application menu--the Word menu at the upper left next to the apple when
Word is active, or the Excel menu at the upper left next to the apple
when Excel is active. Not the Help menu. You'll see a Product ID in the
About dialog then .

Helpful tip--all programs on the mac have this About dialog. If you ever
need to know what exact version of a program you are using, that's where
you go to find out.
