Registry Information?

Darlene

Hi,
I've just loaded Microsoft Office on a brand new hard
drive and everything is working except Access. Here's
what's happening; when I start Access the program starts,
but after several seconds, I receive the following message:
Required registry information is missing and this
application cannot run. Please run setup to correct this
problem.
So far this is what I have done:
I've uninstalled Office, ran the eraser program and
reloaded Office - didn't work.
Then I went into the registry and changed the productID
for office to "OldProductID" as suggested from Microsoft
Knowledge base article - 236590, and that didn't work.
Does anyone have any other ideas:
This is Microsoft 2000 Professional and Office 2000, this
computer is also on a network.
Thanks for your help!
Darlene

Which version of Office? Access comes only with the Office Pro
edition, not with the basic Office or Office Small Business editions;
these have an Access runtime, I understand, but this doesn't work
except for preexisting databases: no design tools.
