Registry question

Hi

Is it possible to change the registry so that when a Contact is viewed, it
will be possible to see the 'Created Date' and the 'Last Amended Date'?
That would be very helpful if it can be done. I have my Outlook 2002
addressbook shared with Outlook Express 6. I would like to view the
'Created Date'/'Last Amended Date' either when OE or Outlook is launched..

You don't need to use the registry for this; you can just add the Created
fields to a table view of your Contacts folder. For example:

1) Switch your view of Contacts to "By Category"
2) Click the Field Chooser button on the Advanced toolbar
3) In the dropdown box at the top of the Field Chooser dialog, choose "All
Contact fields"
4) Scroll down the list of Contact fields until you see "Created". Click
and drag that field up with the other column headers and drop it where you
want it. Adjust the width if necessary to see the full date and time.
5) Scroll down further in the Field Chooser until you see the "Modified"
field, and drag it the same way you did the Created field.

Now you can see the created and modified dates of all your contacts just by
looking at the By Category view of your Contacts folder. If you prefer, you
can create a custom view for these fields instead of adding them to a default
view.

Just one further question, as my addressbook is shared, is there any way I
can view those 'extra' fields added in Outlook in the OE addressbook, say
under the Properties\Summary of information of this Contact?

Probably not, but I'm really not sure. You might want to ask that one in an
OE newsgroup. If you're not sure where to find one, you can get a list at
http://www.insideOE.com.
