Reindexing database

One of my co-workers was manually editing a database.
Now when she opens the DB, it shows as read-only.
Someone told me to reindex the database. How do you do
this? TIA.

Compact and Repair (Tools menu, under Database Utilities) repairs the
indexes in Access.
