I recently bought a new MacBook Pro and tried to install Office x. I
could transfer easily form the old computer (G4 Ykes thus cannot be
used in Target mode) all files corresponding to both Office x and
Office 2004 to the new computer. Howver when I want to start Office x,
the new computer is asking for the key which I have and an older
version of Office since my Office x key is for an upgrade only. However
Office 2004 does not qualify as a valid older version, and only Office
2001 would qualify. Unfortunately Office 2001 cannot be installed on
the new computer as Office 2001 was running under teh operating system
Mac 9.xx and not Mac 10.xx ... so what can I do to get Office x
running?
Thanks to anyone who can help.
I add I am a legal owner of Office 2001, then the upgrade to Office
2004 and the subsequent upgrade to Office x. Still this is not enough!
