reinstall oem Office 2002 on a different computer

I have been happily using office 2002 on my laptop. Recently my laptop has
become unreliable because of a power supply problem. I need to install it on
another laptop before my laptop dies. I want to keep office 2002 because it
has a feature in Outlook that might not work in future versions. (I have a
Timex data link watch that I use for a PDA and Timex has discontinued it and
not updated the scheduling software)

I understand from friends that I need to uninstall Office from my laptop and
then install it on the new one. I don't understand how that works or if it
works with an OEM version. Please advise.

Thanks.

OEM software cannot be installed on a different computer. When that computer
dies, so does that software.

Hi, pattiWagen,

Office OEM software is tied to the machine it was installed on, so you may
not move it. Refer to the EULA (End User License Agreement) that you agreed
to in order to use the software.
