reinstall Office 2004 without losing entourage email files

Office 2004 is behaving very erratically for me, a new development
after a long period of happiness. I have tried replacing preferences
files, I have rune First Aid on my startup disk and repaired
permissions (both from the OSX Tiger install disk) and yet I am
experiencing LOOOOOOOOONG load times for MS Office.

I feel I need to erase and reinstall office, but I don't want to lose
my email archives.

What to do?
