reinstall Office, Entourage won't work

My Office applications ceased to function when I inadvertantly stopped it
installing an update. I reinstalled Office from the CD and everything seems
to work fine except Entourage. I launch it and get an error message:

"This identity cannot be opened with this version of Entourage"

I have no idea what that means but am looking to recover my contacts and
calendar data. Any help greatly appreciated!
