Reinstall Office on newly formated system

P

Phil Braniff

One of our PC's needs to be reformatted and all the
software reinstalled. I have 3 copies ($1,370.00) of
Office Standard sitting on my desk. Before I blow away
the system in question, I wanted to identify which one of
the Office CD's matches the current software on the
system, so that I could reinstall it once I lay down the
operating system again. How do I match the KEY code on
the CD's with the actual cerial number of Office. How
can I tell which one should be installed. Will there be
a problem, since it's already registered, but will be
laid down on the same pc once again.

I haven't blown the system away yet, I'm just in the
preparation stages and would like to do it right.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks,

Phil,

Open Word or Excel, and go to Help | About Microsoft
Word/Excel. This should list the Product ID number.
