I had to do a system restore and reinstall my Office 2000
SBE earlier this year. No problem reinstalling since I
had the codes, keys, etc. The problem was when I tried
to access files I had already stored in MY Documents. I
had done backups of all my really important stuff in My
Documents. I had even copied particular folders. When I
reinstalled the program ran fine but wouldn't let me
access any of the MY Document folders that I had saved or
had copied. I reinstalled them to the hard drive and I
even copied them from a CDRW to the hard drive and I
still 6 months later can't get those files to open. They
are all Access Denied with messages about need
permissions to open the files and contact system
administrator. I have checked permissions and still
can't access those files. So be careful! Keep hard
copies of what you really need and email stuff to
yourself. That is how I ended up getting some of my
material back. Hope this helps
