Reinstalled Win98, Office2000 install disk giving patch error mes.

I had to reinstall Win98 SE on my computer and now that I am trying to
reinstall office2000, I get a patch error message after inserting the CD and
it will not let me reinstall. I have the original disks and the product key
but it is not letting me get that far.

Any help would be appreciated.

The error message is intended to indicate what the problem is. Perhaps
if you include the exact text of the message in your next post someome
one can determine what went wrong with the install.
