Is there a way to reinstall Entourage and retain all of the folders, email already received, Rules, etc?

I had a drive failure and had to reinstall Office 2008 from disks. Luckily I had a back up and was able to find the prefs, etc so that everything except the email was back in the reinstalled version of Entourage. Took me a while to figure this out.

Is there an easier way?

I believe that you lost your email, etc., from the disk failure, not from
the reinstallation. Reinstalling Entourage on a working disk does not
usually delete the data (email, etc.).

Here is information about where Entourage stores its information:

If you have a backup copy of the Office 2008 Identities folder, you can
restore all your data from there. If not, then now is the time to start a
backup procedure. Here is some information on backups:

Your email, calendar, address book, rules, etc. are in the Microsoft
User Data folder in your Documents folder.
