I tried to install Office 2000 on my new Windows 2003 Server and the server
let me install it - but when I tried to use Office 2000, I immediately got
the error:
Some default settings in Microsoft Office 2000 setup do not work properly on
a Windows Terminal Server. To install Office on Terminal Server you must use
the instructions and tools available in your Office 2000 Resource Kit or at
http://www.microsoft.com/Office/ORK
I then tried to uninstall Office 2000 - and it would not let me, giving me
the same error. I then installed Office 2003 and that runs fine but in some
programs the Office 2000 error listed above shows up again.
I searched and found the Microsoft article Q283675 which tells how to
appropriately install Office 2000 on a Terminal Server 2003 but when I follow
the instructions, I still get the error listed above.
so now I can't install or uninstall Office 2000 and I regularly get the
above error message in some programs.
I have found the following articles to completely uninstall Office 2000 with
some research but they seem rather drastic (involving changing the registry
keys, etc) and I am worried about walking down that path.

Does anybody have any ideas?
