Reinstalling office 2007

Can anyone help me, please? My pc had some viruses and I had to use the
recovery process, which meant I had to reload everything anew. I reloaded MS
office home and student 2007 - it asked for the product key...which I typed
in..it stated the product key was invalid, but it still allowed me to load
it. Now every time I try to look at a document it asks for the product key
again, eventhough it is loaded. How can I get that request for the product
key to stop and how do I get to someone in MS home office?

If you recovered your PC to factory specs, did you first allow win to
Update?
Did you then uninstall any trial version of office together with its
activation assistant & reboot, prior to installing from cd?
And where did you obtain the Key from?
