Reinstalling Office X

S

I am reinstalling Office X on all the computers at work because someone
installed the same software on 2 computers. And I don't know which
ones. I was told that I might be able to unlicense the computer and
then reinstall which will replace what currently exists on the
computer. Can someone tell me what is the easiest way to remove an
exisitng application so that I can reinstall it?

Thanks

To remove and reinstall Office X, you run the Remove Office tool from the
Value Pack on the Office X CD.

However, if all you need to do is switch the license number, you can do that
without removing and reinstalling--see here:

You should be able to figure out the duplicate licensed computer by looking
at the About screen in any Office product. The two Product IDs generated by
the same CD Key will be the same except for the last 5 digits (at least in
Office 2004, I think this works for Office X, quick enough to be worth a try
anyhow). You can also see which two computers won't let you launch any
Office program at the same time.
