I am rebuilding a PC after suffering a complete hard drive failure, and am
attempting to reinstall Office XP. I have the upgrade disks because my PC
had Office 97 preinstalled. I had successfully upgraded, registered,
regularly updated and used my Office XP product without difficulty for a
number of years.
Unfortunately, in the hard drive failure, I lost any image of my Office 97.
Now my upgrade disks won't reinstall because they can't find a source to
upgrade from.
Is there any way I can recover from this? I really want to continue using
Office XP because a PDA I use only understands how to synch with the version
of Outlook that comes in Office XP. Is the fact that I previously
successfully registered of any help?
Thanks for any help.
