Reinstalling Office

I have 2 machines a G4 and and iBook. I have had Office running on
both of them as allowed for in the license agreement. However , when I
did a clean install of 10.3 on my iBook (in order to get rid of a
partition on a 20 meg. HD done when I installed 10.1) I had to
reinstall Office X. It was an upgrade from Office 98. I managed to get
it installed. But then when I opened Word I was informed I had
exceeded the installation limit allowed for in the license. I could
not find a reference to that limit in the license. So what am I to do?
I only own 2 machines. I use the iBook when I travel but now I cannot
use Office on it. - Philip Ferguson

The license states that a copy of the software can be installed and used on
one computer, and installed on a different portable computer. You can't use
Office on both computers at once.

Make sure you've applied the latest Office X updates on both machines. They
fix some problems with the product ID checking that were in the original
release. Download and install the latest Office X updates, which are
10.1.2, 10.1.4, and 10.1.5 (10.1.3 is unnecessary). They¹re available from
Microsoft.

I downloaded the 3 updates and installed them and that solved my
problem. Thanks for your timely help. - Philip Ferguson
