reinstalling office2000

This Pc has been strucked by the new my_life virus.
Have reinstalled Win98se.
All Off2000 progs open, but close immediately and then
open the office installer windows (which close
immediately too).
Have not succeeded in reinstalling Off2000 as there is no
reaction to the installation prog.
