reinstalling one note without the disk

Luigi

One note was preinstalled on my computer and i've been using since the start.
The PC came with no separate office disk but with a certificate of
Authenticity from Microsoft. For some reason now when i start ON
automatically its start to reinstall and finally asks me for the disk.
I tried asking the microsoft online support but they say i have an invalid
registration key and ask me to type it in manually. The certificate i have
has a product key much longer than the one they ask, I tried every other
possible number that appears on the bloody certificate but they will accept
none. Finally i ask for a tip, and they suggest to get the number from the
info of One Note. But since One Note doesn't run the tip is useless. What's
the solution?
The only one I came across is a pirate edition, but i'd rather stay legal.

You need to go back where you came from, namely Mirosoft Support. This
time though, call them. They are the only once who can help you with
this.

Well thanx for the reply. I actually have called Microsoft Support and they
extremely kindly told me "You've bought a PC with pre-installed software,
well call the folks that sold you the PC". Fine, I called the PC callcenter
(for pity's sake I won't mention the name, just a hint ... it starts with T
and ends with oshiba) and they advised me to use the rescue disk, a procedure
that would have the faboulous advantage of formatting my disk so I could,
just in one strike, loose all my data, not only the notes contained in One
Note.
Desperation finally helped!
Absolute desperation of need to access a precious note led me to download
the trial version of One Note, I installed it, and ... miracle my original
copy now magically works with its nice original and certified serial number!!!
Well desperation brought me also to search alternatives, and, oh!, Ever
Note, a part from being free, has this fantastic feature of a button straight
in the browser that let's you "note" part or even a hole web page just in a
click! I hope One Note 2007 will have the same feature or... mumble mumble...

Sorry for your experience.

If you are looking for the send-from-browser feature, OneNote 2007 has one.
There is a Send to OneNote button (OneNote icon with a blue arrow) on the
toolbar that sends your selection or the whole page if you don't have a
selection.
If you are using IE 7, you can find the button by clicking on the double
arrow to the right hand side of the Tools button.
