reinstalling - problems!

I bought my Office for Mac in May 08 online. Have installed the applications successfully on my Macbook - about a week after I had done this the hard disk of the laptop crashed. Now I've got a new MacBook Pro, and although I've got the product keys that I received once bought the applications, I don't have the original download file and now cannot get the applications up and running on the new laptop!
I've also subscribed to another free 30day trial, and even that I don't for some reason seem to be able to activate on my new laptop - tells me the keyd in information is wrong although I am copying the activation key from the confirmation email.
Please help, what do I need to do to activate the purchased applications on my current laptop?

You need to contact Microsoft. Your download instructions should have
included info on how to contact them. All I have is a general number:

(866) 474-4882
