Reinstalling the Software

E

Emyl

My computer has to be sent in to be fixed by the company that makes it. To
be fixed, there is a chance that my entire hard drive will be wiped clean. I
am not sure how many more times I can install my Office 2007 program, because
I have also installed it on my parents' computer. I do not remember if I
installed it anywhere else. Is there a way I can redeem one of my
installations since my computer's hard drive needs to be wiped clean? Or is
there a way I can find out how many installations I have left?

Thanks.

The Office 2007 install limits are on functional installations not the
number of times the install program was run.
If the Office 2007 install on the failed computer was a legal install {with
respect to your EULA agreement} you can reinstall on that computer as many
time as you want. When you activate you may need to use the telephone
option if internet activation has a error.

The legal criteria for different editions of Office 2007 are contained in
your EULA. You did not mention what edition you have.

From you post my guess is that you have the Office 2007 Home and Student
edition. This edition can have functional installations on up to three
family computers for non-commerical use. If my guess is not correct, your
post indicates that you have already exceeded the number of functional
installs for other retail editions. But, you need to read your EULA.

And what version of Office 2007 do you have?
