Reinstalling Upgraded Office 2003 After Reformat on Hard Drive

For the third time I need to reformat my hard drive to
deal w/ issues related to XP. I just added the Office
2003 Upgrade product. How do I work around the issue of
the upgrade product needing to find a qualifying product
when I go to reinstall, since all info related to prior
products will have been destroyed in the reformat?

Thanks,

You do not have to reinstall the previous product but you must have the CD.
When 2003 looks for and cannot find the previous qualifying product, simply
swap CDs over and put the older CD in. Point the installer to it and it
will confirm that you do indeed have the older suite.

Swap CDs back and the installation of Office2003 will continue on its way.
