ReInstalling XP

R

Ralph Krausse

I need to reinstall my system on a new bigger (well really faster)
hard drive. I have already registered my copy of XP Professional,
Office, etc with MS. Can I just reinstall everything and reuse the
copies or do I have call MS first and tell them..

Thanks

Use the START button? Then you need CSFastRunII...
A new kind of application launcher integrated in the taskbar!

I need to reinstall my system on a new bigger (well really faster)
hard drive. I have already registered my copy of XP Professional,
Office, etc with MS. Can I just reinstall everything and reuse the
copies or do I have call MS first and tell them..

MS licenses are PER MACHINE. As long as it's the SAME machine you
can install it on as many hard drives as you wish. This also applies
to multiboot machines with multiple HDs and OSes let alone just a new
bigger HD.

Jagadeesh [MSFT]

Hello Ralph,

Since you have changed the hard drive, it may be required for reactivation.
Install the products and if you are unable to reactivate, call the phone
number: 888 - 652 -2048 to reactivate the products through telephonic
activation.

Regards,
Jagadeesh.P,
Microsoft.
