I have a user that is linking tasks between projects. They first link a task between Project A and Project B. They then change the date for the linked task in Project A and save and close it. When they open Project B, they receive the dialog to either accept the change to their linked task or delete the link. What the user would like to do is not accept the change but still keep the link. That is, they don’t want their task in Project B to have its dates affected if they “don’t agree†with the change, but still want the link there. They’ve also mentioned having some sort of workflow process where if they don’t accept the change then the person that opens the other project is notified. I’m almost 100% sure the latter can’t be done. However is there a way around their former requirement? They are using Project Server 2007. Thanks for any ideas, Alex.
