Related shapes objects on different pages

I would like to create a drawing of my office building with multiple pages.
Each page would have the same basic plan, but focus on a different aspect.
One page for the roof, one for the ceiling, one for networking, one for
cubicle layout, etc.

I would like to have shapes that exist on some or all pages, such as a wall
or support column. I would like to be able to move or otherwise change the
shape on one page, and have the corresponding shape on other pages move or
change to match automatically.

Can this easily be done? I am using Visio 2003 SP1 on Windows XP Pro SP2.
I have basic familiarity with Visio, and can (but would prefer not to) do
minor programming in VBA.

Thanks,
Tim C

Okay. I found backgrounds. Very useful.

However, there seems to be a limitation of one background per page. There
are circumstances where a page 1 needs to share some shapes in common with
page 2, and other shapes in common with page 3. For instance, in my
building diagrams, the ceiling plan page would share some features in common
with the floor plan, different features would be shared with the roof plan,
and all three would share still more features. Can this be done?

Thanks,

Though a page can only have one background page, a background page can have
a background page. So the common features can be placed on the background's
background page.
