Relationship Diagram

Just noticed that none of the Relationship connecting lines in the
Relationship design window have any marks on them indicating 1 to many even
though the Relationship properties dialog box clearly shows one to many
relationship. Is there a setting which is not set properly or some other
reason for this.

When you look at the dialog for the relation, is the Referential Integrity
box checked? It should be for 99% of relationships.

Also, are these attached tables? If so, try opening the database that
contains the actual tables, and look at the Relationships window there.

Thanks Allen:
The Referential Integrity box was not checked. I was a little fearfull of
what the potential problems were with that functionl. I am learning.

No worries, Gary. Access has a big learning curve!

I can remember being blown away by how great that little check box was when
Access version 1 was released in 1992. Here's the (ancient!) article I wrote
