Relationships Across Pages

I know this is stupid, but I can't seem to find an explanation anywhere.

I have a database model that covers more than one page. How do I put in a
relationship that crosses pages?

In some modelling tools you have to put the table you want to link on
the same "page" or Sub-Model", setup the relationship and then remove
it from the page without deleting it.

You can also keep a page that has all the tables in it for this purpose
only and not publish it.
