Relationships not staying?

Is there a max to how many relationships you can have. I have quite a few. I
connect the two fields and set up my relationship. When close the database
and reopen to the relationship window, the relationship is gone!!!! So I
connect the 2 fields and create the relationship again, and the same things
happens. Whenever I open up the database again, the relation has been deleted?

Silly question - are you saving (clicking on the diskette icon) before
closing the relationship window?

I just click close and it asks me to save. I am going nuts! I did check and
the max is 32. I counted 28. I kept on trying to connect two fields, and it
seemed to disappear! I just discovered you can printout your relationships.
On my printout it is showing that there is a relationship but in the view
relationship window there is no connection?

I gave up and deleted ALL my relationships on the screen. I printed it out
and it showed a relationship between the 2 tables, but viewing it in the
relationship window there is nothing there. I then deleted the table and then
adding it back and the relationship connection appeared!!!!! This is making
me nuts!

Is there so special trick of refreshing relationships? I finally figured out
if I remove the table and then add it back again I can see the relationship.
I wonder if I'm having problems because I'm up to 30 relationships. I wish 50
were the max.

Thanks for replying.

A couple of things to check. Check is any queries have that relation. Have
you did a Compact and Repair?

This is my backend database, so I don't have any queries. I compact and
repair automatically whenever I close.

Rita, are the relations disappearing from the Relationships window in the
back end, or in the front end?

Did you try clicking the Show All button on the toolbar in the Relationships
window?

If you have not already done so, make sure the Name AutoCorrect boxes are
unchecked in both the FE and BE. Uncheck the boxes under:
Tools | Options | General | Name AutoCorrect
or in Access 2007, it's:
Office Button | Access Options | Current Database | Name AutoCorrect
Then compact them both (FE and BE) again.

To learn how many relations are actually in the back end, open the Immediate
Window (Ctrl+G) and enter:
? CurrentDb.Relations.Count

Unsolved mystery:) The relationship is there when I print the relationships,
but in on the screen nothing displays. It's messed up all my my queries in my
front end, because the relationship isn't there. To get this problem to work,
I'm going into each of my queries in my front end and adding the relationship.

I have 30
