Here is another twist on a known problem area. This time, the failure is when
using GIF output format.
In Visio 2003:
1) Insert into a drawing object, a relative hyperlink to an office file
located in the same folder as the drawing file.
2) Ensure the hyperlink will open the selected file (ie, right-click and
select link).
3) Save the drawing as a web page using GIF output format and "Organize
supporting files in a folder" selected.
4) Open the HTML file using Internet Explorer 7 and try the link (actually,
the default is to launch a browser automatically).
5) Unless I am doing something wrong, it will not work. The HTML is looking
for the file in the subfolder, not the same folder as the drawing.
If the link works for you, please let me know so I can duplicate what you
are doing.
