Relative hyperlinks in OneNote?

R

Robin Fernandes

Hi all!

I've recently started using OneNote as a sort of scrapbook for all my
project information,
And I've just discovered that it is not possible to create Relative
Hyperlinks to files/folders nearby.

Since I'm also using OneNote as an index I need to have it link to all the
files deeper into the directory structure.

For e.g. I have a section "MySection" stored in "D:\Work\MySection.one" and
when I open it in oneNote, it does not show under a notebook instead it
lists under the "Open Sections" Menu on the bottom-left of OneNote. So I'm
sure that I have indeed opened the .one file off the harddrive and not just
in OneNote's cache.

Secondly I have a text file "D:\Work\New Text Document.txt"
Now when I type "New Text Document.txt" in the "Address" field of the
Hyperlink it changes it to "New%20Text%20Document.txt" and shows the error
"An unexpected error occurred." !!

Anybody has any ideas? Any help will be much appreciated!

Thanks!
Robin.

Hyperlinks don't tend to like spaces, so usually replace a space with '%20'
(this is just a symbol which represents a space) If you can change the name
of the actual text document to not include spaces (perhaps replace with an
underscore _) then this should solve your problem.

Not too sure about your other problem, don't really use OneNote that much
sorry.

Hope this helped
