Relative Hyperlinks in Web Pages in Vision 2003

When I save a visio diagram as a Web Page, relative
hyperlinkgs in shapes do not work. I inserted a relative
hyperlink in a shape to a word document. In Visio, I am
able to follow the link fine. However, when I save the
diagram as a web page, the link is broken. If I use an
absolute hyperlink, it works. Any idea for a workaround?

Thanks,

Dan

P.S. - I am using the checkbox to make my hyperlink
relative.

Ok, I figured out what the problem is and a valid work
around. When you save as a web page, a new folder is
created to hold the images, data, etc. The folder has a
name that ends with "_Files". The problem is that when
you insert a relative link, the link is relative to this
folder instead of it's parent folder (where the .htm file
is). So in order to have relative links, you need to
add "..\..\" to the front of your document. However,
this casuses the hyperlink to fail when invoking in from
Visio.

Another workaround is to go to the Save as Web Page's Options dialog and
uncheck the "Organize supporting files in a folder" option. This will put
all supporting files at the same level as your main htm file. It doesn't
hide all the supporting files, but it shouldn't require you to modify your
hyperlinks.

Not unless you ftp the web page to a UNIX server, then
you have to modify each htm file Visio create. :-(

What changes did you have to make to each htm file? What flavor & version of
Unix is the server?
