I have a master project with several other projects inserted into it. It
works fine when the master project is checked out onto my system however,
when other people check out the project onto theirs from our servers the
inserted project files (inserted_file1.mpp) do not link because their system
setup is different.
ie: my setup is
C:/My_Projects/master.mpp
other users might be
E:/My_Projects/master.mpp
The inserted Project files in my master project have the path set to
"C:/My_Projects/inserted_file1.mpp". I need to lose the C: and set it to
"/My_Projects/inserted_file1.mpp" but the link keeps on getting reset back
when I change it.
The problem occurs because I need to create a relative path for the inserted
project link but MS Project keeps using an absolute path.
Does anyone know how I can stop the link from being reset after I have
altered it in the Task Information menu?
I'm using MS Project standard 2003
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Jon.
