Relative Path Links in a Master Document?

Hello,

Is there a way to insert subdocuments in a Master document so that the resulting links are relative (i.e., relative to the directory that the Master document resides in) rather than absolute (i.e., containing the full path information).

Similarly, when inserting a link to an Excel spreadsheet in a Word document, how can you make this a relative rather than an absolute link?
