reloading excel from office 97

Following a recent format of my hard drive i am
encountering problems reinstalling excel from my CD. On
each attempt it repeatedly comes up with the faults
unable to load the following files Xl8409.dll ,
XL5EN32.olb , XL8GALRY.XLS

Can anyone help as I need Excel for my homework
